A small fish pond in my own yard, with two or three lotus blooms and fish playing among the lotus leaves.

The water lilies didn't even open two blooms, so I'll just tease the fish and frogs and spend the weekend that way... A fish pond is a small ecosystem. This is a half-finished courtyard, I guess, but you can imagine it will be even more beautiful once it fills out.
The lotus pot is plastic, roughly 35 in diameter and 25 deep. For the mud I used bought lumpy dry pond mud, sterilized and disinfected, fairly clean. Because there are fish in the pond, I didn't dare use mud dug up from the ground, afraid there might be bacteria, and treating it myself would be a hassle, so I just bought ready-made.
It's my own small fish pond. Let me attach a panorama of the unfinished project.
Are you afraid of toads?
With them around, even if the water lilies don't bloom, it's still a fine backdrop.
