Spider plants are enjoyable in all four seasons, beautifying the environment while also purifying the air. To grow spider plants well, you need to master the care tips for spider plants. Let's take a look below!

Spider plant care tips:

1. Breathable soil

The soil for spider plants is very important. It not only needs sufficient nutrients, but also needs to be loose and breathable, which helps with drainage and prevents root rot caused by water accumulation. Generally, perlite, vermiculite, etc. are added to the soil, or collected pine needles are added, which need to be disinfected before use. This ensures the spider plant will not suffer root rot and makes it grow more luxuriantly.

2. Reasonable watering

Spider plants like a humid environment, so watering should keep the soil moist.

Observe how dry the soil surface is. When the soil is dry, it needs to be watered. Just water enough to keep the soil moist, without water accumulation.

In summer, water evaporates quickly, so increase the frequency of watering, generally watering once a day, otherwise it is easy for the plant to wither. Appropriately spray water on the leaves and surrounding area to maintain humidity, which can also lower the temperature.

3. Proper fertilizing

Spider plants should not be fertilized too much or too little. Too much easily causes fertilizer burn, leading to yellow leaves. Too little is not good for growth, and the leaves become thin and weak.

You can use fermented rice water to water spider plants. Generally, dilute it with water at a ratio of 50 times before using it to water spider plants. This way, the leaves of the spider plant will be large and green.

You can also directly use compound fertilizer, dissolve it in water and then pour it at the roots to replenish the nutrients for the spider plant. Generally, use a ratio of 20 granules of compound fertilizer in one basin of clean water.
