Boiling corn: cold water or hot water? Adding sugar or salt makes a difference

Boiling corn is also very particular: is it better to put it in the pot with cold water, or with hot water? Salt or sugar? Do you know all of this? When boiling corn, many people like to peel off the last outer layer of the corn and then put it into the pot to boil. Actually, this is wrong. When we boil corn, we only need to peel off the dirty outermost layer and leave the last layer of husk on, so the corn's nutrients will not be lost.
It is best to boil corn in cold water. After the corn is cooked, we peel off the corn's outer husk, then pour salt water over the corn. Coating the surface of the corn with salt water can balance osmotic pressure, so that the corn's outer skin will not wrinkle, and the corn kernels will also be plumper. So when boiling corn, add salt, not sugar.
The reason why we do not add sugar when boiling corn is that corn itself is sweet, so there is no need to add sugar. Eating corn can help regulate lipids and lower blood pressure. Corn contains high fiber and can also resist aging and soften blood vessels. Most importantly, it can prevent middle-aged weight gain, and it also has a weight-loss effect. Eat one corn every night, and after eating it continuously for one month, your body will undergo different changes.
