Shriveled succulents look plump, translucent and adorable after being covered with a plastic bottle

In recent years, succulents have been very popular, with a wide variety of species, unique shapes, delicate and cute. Although they rarely bloom, their plump leaves are very cute and extremely popular.
When caring for succulents, they can also become shriveled and lose their fresh look. Cover them with a plastic bottle, and after seven days they become translucent, plump and more adorable than you can imagine!
I believe many plant lovers have had the same experience as me. The succulents you just brought home have plump, firm leaves. But this good condition does not last even a week before they become more shriveled day by day, which is heartbreaking to see.
Actually, these plants originally grow in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment. When suddenly brought home, without the high-temperature, high-humidity environment, the difference is huge. So they have their own adjustment process. Plus, having just been repotted, the roots have not fully adapted to the new soil environment, so they naturally consume their own energy (the leaves store water and nutrients), causing the leaves to become soft and wilted. If not handled properly, they can die outright.
So, for succulents you just brought home, you can place them in a bright spot with indirect light, not exposed to direct sunlight. After about a week, once the succulent adapts to the home environment, it will gradually resume growing.
At this point, although it has adapted to the home environment, its growth is still very slow, because the home environment certainly cannot compare to a greenhouse environment. So at home, we can also create a high-temperature, high-humidity environment for succulents, making their leaves plump and juicy and speeding up growth.
We can place a transparent plastic bottle with holes over the succulent. When the weather is hot at noon, take the bottle off to let in air and ventilation. For 5 to 7 consecutive days, the succulent's leaves will become more fresh and green, plump and more adorable than you can imagine. This method is also called "sweat cultivation"!
Under what circumstances should you not use sweat cultivation?
Just bought and has not resumed growth
There are wounds on the leaves that have not healed
There are water droplets on the leaves that have not been wiped clean
At noon, when the sunlight is harsh, sweat cultivation should not be done
Besides succulents, other flowers can also have such an environment created for them to make them grow vigorously.
For example, gardenias. Many gardenias that have just been bought will drop buds and turn yellow leaves. At this time, we can water them thoroughly once, cover them with a perforated plastic bag, and after about 5 to 7 days, yellow leaves and bud drop will no longer occur. But you cannot take the plastic bag off all at once; you must do it gradually.
The principle is the same as for succulents: creating a high-temperature, high-humidity environment for them, giving them a process to adapt to the home environment.
That's all for today's sharing!
