Fellow flower growers all know that the things needed for growing flowers are many and scattered. Many friends give up growing flowers because of this. But Huahua tells you, the materials for growing flowers can all be gathered in the time it takes to take a walk, so hurry up and follow Huahua out to pick them up~

Picking Up Flowers

Since we're going to start picking up trash to grow flowers, then of course we have to start with picking up flowers~ Picking up a pot of flowers is picking up a life!

Beside flower markets and neighborhood trash bins there are often discarded flowers. These flowers usually just have poor growth, and if you take them home, they can still be kept alive!

Sometimes if you're lucky, you can even pick up flowers together with the pot~

Digging Flower Soil

The most important thing for growing flowers is the flower soil. Loose, breathable and nutrient-rich flower soil is essential for growing flowers. Sometimes, these good things can be picked up right by the roadside!

1. Pine needle soil

Under the pine trees in residential areas or roadside green belts, there will be a thin layer of pine needle soil. Brush aside the top layer of pine needles, and you can see the black pine needle soil.

Since there is only a very small amount of pine needle soil, flower growers can pick up the pine needles and garden soil under the pine trees, take them home, mix them and water them to ferment, and use them after 2-3 months.

2. Leaf mold

Leaf mold is also relatively easy for flower growers to collect. At roadside flower beds and small woods, when the season comes there will be a large amount of fallen leaves piled up, and you can take them home to make your own leaf mold.

After taking them home, scald the fallen leaves with hot water, then mix them with garden soil and put them in a bucket, sealing it with a black plastic bag. Put it in the sun to ferment, and during this period you can water it another 1-2 times. After 2-3 months it can be used.

Lining the Pot Bottom

Only by keeping good breathability and water permeability in the flower pot can the flowers grow well and thrive. This naturally relies on putting some material at the bottom of the pot~

1. Roadside crushed stone, tiles

Roadside crushed stones and broken tiles are the easiest to pick up, and can be used to line the pot bottom for water and air permeability.

2. Pine cones

When picking up pine needles, flower growers might as well also pick up some pine cones along the way. Take them home and dry them in the sun, and they can be used to line the pot bottom.

Flower Pots

How can growing flowers be done without flower pots? Flower pots must be bought, but sometimes if you pay a bit more attention near trash bins, there might be a surprise!

Flower growers will say that discarded flower pots are all broken, but after being transformed, broken flower pots can also become beautiful!

Discarded wooden logs can be picked up to make flower pots.

Drill a few holes in the picked-up wooden logs, and they can be used to plant small succulents.

Flower Stands

Are all the materials for growing flowers complete? No, no, no, how can it be finished without a flower stand! Flower stands can also be picked up by the roadside~

If there are decoration shops or construction sites nearby, you can keep a close watch at all times. Once you find discarded waste wood, remember to take it home immediately!

Simply hammer it together with nails, paint a layer of paint, and after placing flowers on it, it saves space and looks good!

If the wood you pick up is too small to make a large flower stand, you can choose to make a succulent combination pot, which looks just as good.

After reading this, are you tempted?

Hurry out for a walk,

Maybe you'll also have a surprise harvest!
