Rose cultivation series article 76
I wonder whether everyone manages their roses uniformly when growing them?
Recently, gardening friends have often asked me this question:
For rose flowers managed together, why are the others fine, but this one has yellow leaves?
I think many gardening friends have encountered this problem: rose flowers cared for together, watered uniformly, fertilized uniformly, and sprayed uniformly, so why do some varieties grow perfectly well while other varieties develop problems?
Today Blue Demon will briefly explain the reasons behind this.
Differences in variety characteristics:
Rose flower is the general term for all roses, and roses also include many categories. There are as many as several thousand rose varieties that can be named.
With so many roses, each variety is actually different from the others. So in the earlier article on choosing rose varieties, Blue Demon already said that some novel and unusual Japanese roses have very poor resistance.
Besides these especially delicate novel and unusual varieties, the growth characteristics of some classic varieties also differ to a certain extent. Some varieties grow quickly, some grow slowly, some are more disease-resistant, while some have relatively poor resistance.
It is precisely because these varietal characteristics differ that problems easily arise when we manage them uniformly.
Individual differences:
Besides differences among varieties leading to failure in uniform management, even different plants of the same variety differ in condition.
For example:Rose plants with strong root systems grow relatively more vigorously, so their demand for water and fertilizer is relatively greater, and their tolerance to chemicals is also relatively higher.
Rose plants with weaker root systems and fewer leaves, however, need less water and have weaker tolerance to fertilizer and chemicals.
Therefore, when managing uniformly, with the same fertilizing and spraying, the weaker plants will develop problems.
So during management, rose plants in different conditions should still be treated differently. If you have questions, contact Blue Demon. You can follow my WeChat public account: Blue Demon Garden (ilanyao) to find me.
