Want to eat fresh fruit right at home? Just plant some on the balcony or in the yard. What if you don't have that much space? Then just grow some fruits suitable for pot cultivation. The 7 fruits below can all be grown in pots, so you can have fruit to eat in all four seasons.

1. Strawberry

Growing strawberries in pots is fairly easy, and it is one of the easiest potted fruits to grow. On a balcony, hanging baskets or pots are both good choices. Keep the growing environment warm and slightly moist. Planting can be done in spring or autumn. When growing in a larger pot, pay attention to spacing: leave 20-30 cm between two strawberry plants. It is best to use a clay pot.

2. Raspberry

Raspberry is also an excellent potted fruit. It can adapt to the warm environments of tropical and subtropical regions. If you want to grow it in a pot, first prepare fertile, loose soil with good drainage, plus a deep and wide container, and make sure the balcony has plenty of light, with more than 6 hours of light per day. The container should have a diameter of more than 60 cm, which will ensure sufficient nutrients during care. Water regularly during the growing season to keep the soil slightly moist. Before flowering and fruiting, supplement appropriately with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and after fruiting, supplement with a fertilizer higher in potassium.

3. Blackberry

Blackberry is also a fruit that grows very easily in pots. The container for care should preferably have a capacity of more than 20 liters to ensure good airflow and drainage. You can choose to add some broken tiles or granular stones at the bottom of the pot to ensure drainage, and prepare nutrient-rich sandy soil rich in humus.

During care, it needs frequent application of thin fertilizer, plus plenty of light. Replenish water promptly during the growing season, and give a fertilizer with a higher potassium content during the fruiting period.

4. Blueberry

If you are looking for a fruit that adapts well to pot cultivation and is slightly cold-tolerant, then blueberry is a good choice. Before planting, first understand the growing environment of blueberries and choose a variety suitable for local growing. Growing blueberries in pots makes care easier and can better improve the soil pH, ensuring slightly acidic soil, with the pH preferably between 4-5.5. It likes plenty of light and well-drained soil.

5. Mulberry

Mulberries have a very short shelf life, so they are rarely seen on the market. They can actually be grown in pots. Choose a wide, large container with good drainage and airflow, and keep it on a balcony or terrace. Make sure there is plenty of sunlight every day, water appropriately, and ensure fertile, loose soil, and it will maintain good growth.

6. Blackcurrant

Blackcurrant is also one of the best fruits for pot cultivation. It has a sweet fragrance and is rich in vitamins. Planting requires a wide and deep container. The planting soil should be fertile and loose, with a certain drainage capacity and also good moisture retention. When potting, add plenty of fully decomposed organic fertilizer at the bottom of the pot. It needs to be kept in a place with plenty of sunlight and is suitable for growing in frost-free areas; frost will reduce its yield.

7. Gooseberry

Growing gooseberry requires a medium-sized container at least 40 cm deep. They are low-growing small shrubs, generally not exceeding 1.5 m in height at most, and are suitable for pot cultivation. They can adapt well to pot environments. Care requires plenty of light. Some varieties have a very small plant form, though the flavor will be slightly inferior.
