When growing flowers, you always want to keep some fragrant flowering plants. When they bloom with beautiful flowers, the faint, elusive fragrance always delights both body and mind. Having the floral scent you love filling the room is a delightful thought, but not all floral scents are suitable for indoor growing. So which fragrant flowering plants are suitable for indoor growing?

1. Orange jasmine (Aglaia odorata)

Orange jasmine is very common. Not only does its blooming fragrance please the senses, it can also purify toxic substances from the air, making it a very suitable fragrant potted plant for the home. Orange jasmine loves a location with plenty of light, and is best placed on a south-facing balcony or windowsill. Orange jasmine is an acid-loving flowering plant; the potting soil should be mainly leaf mold. Spraying the leaves with a little ferrous sulfate solution once a week can keep the leaves emerald green and produce more flowers.

2. Jasmine (Jasminum sambac)

Jasmine has emerald green leaves and a rich fragrance that feels very pleasant. It enjoys the reputation of "the finest fragrance under heaven." Jasmine is also a flowering plant that prefers acidic soil. During the bud stage, apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer; potassium dihydrogen phosphate is a very good choice.

3. Lavender (Lavandula)

Lavender is a very important essential oil raw material worldwide. Its fragrance can refresh the mind and sharpen the senses, making it a rare gem among flowering plants. Lavender is also a full-sun plant and produces more flowers in a location with ample light. After flowering, it needs timely pruning, generally cutting off one third from the top, which helps it continue growing.

4. Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)

Chamomile produces small white flowers, and its fragrance is a scent similar to apples. Its ornamental value is also very high. It likewise loves ample light. Its germination rate is relatively high, making it quite suitable for propagation by sowing. After germination, it needs to be placed on a south-facing balcony for care.
