Want your Haworthia cooperi to be crystal clear? A plastic cup is all it takes

Haworthia cooperi
Haworthia cooperi is a succulent in the Liliaceae family. The plant is fairly small, with fleshy leaves arranged in a compact rosette, thick and emerald green. The upper part is semi-transparent, looking crystal clear.
1. Care methods
1. For soil, we generally choose peat soil, and be sure to add a certain amount of granular soil - perlite or coarse river sand will do - preferably more than 50%. Never use soil from the edge of a vegetable patch; it is not suitable for succulent growth;
2. Succulent roots grow very long, so when choosing a pot, the depth should exceed 10 cm. Line the bottom of the pot with a layer of clay pebbles for good air permeability, and the roots will be thicker and stronger. If roots grow out of the bottom of the pot, don't worry - letting them grow out is even better for aeration;
3. Watering depends on the specific situation. In spring and autumn, if the soil is completely dry, you can water it thoroughly once. In summer, it is best to water in the evening, not at noon. In winter they are in their dormant period, so just keep the soil moist;
4. Haworthia cooperi does not like strong sunlight. The morning and evening sun is generally gentler, and it should be placed in a ventilated environment.
2. The enclosure method
Prepare a thin, transparent plastic cup with a diameter large enough to cover the entire Haworthia cooperi. Cut a few openings in the top with scissors, then place it over the succulent. In summer, do not give it direct sunlight; just place it in a shaded spot with indirect light.
3. Compare and see
(After enclosure)
(Without enclosure)
The effect of enclosing Haworthia cooperi is actually very obvious - shriveled and without luster. Also, a reminder to everyone: it is best not to use the enclosure method on a Haworthia cooperi that has just been potted. Its roots are still very weak at this time, and in a closed environment it will stop growing or even rot.
