Spring is a great time to create some beautiful landscapes in your yard. Below, take a look at some DIY plant and flower landscapes you can make in your own yard. The methods are very simple, but their appeal is very strong. Let's see how they are made.

1. Overflowing Sea of Flowers

The one above is a very simple old clay pot combined with some small flowers of different colors, arranged into a beautiful flower display that forms a unique scene on the lawn.

The method is also very simple: transplant some potted flowers onto it, and arrange a river-like flower bed along the opening of the clay pot. Place the clay pot at a tilt so it looks as if flowers are spilling out of it. It is suitable for arranging petunias, pansies, and scarlet sages of various colors.

2. Succulent Fountain

The idea above is also a good solution. It is made directly from a discarded, broken fountain. The fountain platform already has gaps, so there is no need to specially drill holes. The succulents chosen are also very particular: at the bottom, choose trailing succulents such as Graptopetalum paraguayense and Sedum morganianum, paired with some Sedum 'Burrito', so they look like a cascading waterfall. On top, pair them with some Aeonium succulents, such as Echeveria 'Perle von Nurnberg', and choose some black-red Aeonium arboreum 'Zwartkop' and gray-white Graptopetalum paraguayense.

3. Tree Stump Plant Landscape

There was originally a large tree stump in the yard that was very difficult to deal with. The stump has many cracks, so succulents can be planted directly on it. However, choose ones that are easy to grow and adapt well to the environment, such as the common Sedum spurium and Sedum spectabile.

4. Wheelbarrow Turned into a Flower Bed

The one above is a discarded single-wheel wheelbarrow. The tires have been removed from the wheel, and the wooden tub shows its rustic charm.

The tub already has many gaps, so there is no need to specially drill holes. It works very well to plant beautiful shrub roses directly on it, and the effect when they bloom is especially good.

5. Large Vase Decoration

Among the flowers and plants in a yard, people usually decorate with some statues, but here what is chosen are discarded vases or clay pots turned into very cute decorations. Of course, holes are drilled in the bottom, otherwise water easily accumulates and breeds mosquitoes. Decorating with some creeping ornamental grasses and other low-growing flowers also looks especially beautiful.
