This plant is covered all over with sparkling, crystal-clear jewels - it is absolutely stunning.
I happened to come across a pot of it, with little beads like carnelian one after another. I like it very much, so today I will introduce it to you all!
This plant is called the lantern berry, and it grows in the Southern Hemisphere. It likes a relatively cool, shady spot with good ventilation, and it grows even better without direct sunlight! The most suitable growing temperature for the lantern berry is 10-20°C, so a spot at home with relatively insufficient sunlight is actually quite suitable for growing this plant.
Its cultivation method is also very simple. A mature plant bought ready-made does not need repotting, but you should check the permeability of the soil, and loosen the soil frequently during care.
Watering cannot stay the same all year round. In summer, just keep the soil moist, but do not let water accumulate; in winter, the soil should be kept slightly dry. But note: once the potted plant has beads hanging on it, do not let water get on the beads when watering, otherwise they will easily rot!
If you want the beads to grow plentiful, plump and brightly colored, you can give the lantern berry some organic nutrient solution as appropriate. It is best to apply it by drenching the roots, and do not apply too much. Dilute it 1000 times and use it together when watering.
