How do you save an orchid? A few wise words can revive several pots of orchids

A few wise words can revive several pots of orchids.
When growing orchids, you have to learn from the valuable experience of expert orchid growers. Sometimes a single sentence from someone else can revive several pots of orchids. Growing orchids calms the mind; it not only enriches life but also cultivates character. But growing orchids also requires mastering the basic knowledge, so that you don't lose your head when problems arise. Among these, watering orchids is an important step that cannot be ignored.
Some orchid growers drown their orchids by overwatering, while others let their orchids die of thirst because they don't know how to water. So some orchid friends are always complaining that of the orchids they grow, nine out of ten die, and some simply lose confidence in growing orchids.
And I am one of those who failed at growing orchids. As for the specific reason, after an on-the-spot inspection by an old hand, it was my watering that had gone wrong: I hadn't grasped the right measure for watering, and I let the orchids soak for too long, which eventually made them wilt. Within a few days, my dozen or so pots of orchids nearly died before their time. It was all caused by my being too eager and diligent.
Later, after hearing a few words from an expert orchid grower, I quickly gave the potting medium in the orchid pots a thorough complete change. I sifted the potting medium with a sieve, drained off the water, then added a little orchid potting medium, let the orchid roots dry in the sun, and repotted them.
He also said that when watering orchids in the future, the most reasonable watering method is the "sit-pot" (soak-pot) method, that is, placing the orchid pot in a container filled with water so that the surface height of the potting soil is basically level with the water surface height in the container, letting water slowly seep upward from the bottom of the pot to fully moisten the potting medium. This watering method is the most even and thorough; but because it is rather troublesome, and due to the limitations of some orchid varieties and growing environments, the water cannot be reused, and it is prone to infection depending on the season and disease.
