How to grow a jade plant fast? Practical care tips to share
1. Soil
The jade plant is not very demanding about soil; it is best to choose a fertile, loose, sandy soil.
2. Water
The soil in the pot must not be too moist, and even more so must not become waterlogged. Generally, water once every 2-3 days. In the hot summer, increase the amount of watering appropriately and at the same time strengthen ventilation, otherwise it can easily drop its leaves. In winter, when temperatures are low, reduce the amount of watering appropriately. Before watering, check the soil in the pot; when it is slightly dry, it is more suitable for watering.
3. Fertilizing
To help the jade plant grow better, the amount of fertilizer must not be too large, to avoid leggy growth. During its growing season, apply topdressing, with about 2-3 applications of fully rotted cake fertilizer per month. Before changing the soil or planting, apply sufficient base fertilizer; bone meal and various cake fertilizers can be mixed into the potting soil.
4. Temperature
The suitable temperature for jade plant growth is 20-30°C. Spring and autumn are the most suitable for growth. In summer, the temperature must not exceed 38°C, otherwise it will grow slowly or enter dormancy; in winter, the temperature must not fall below 5°C, otherwise it will suffer frost damage or die.
5. Light
In the hot summer, take good shade measures and do not let it be exposed to direct strong sunlight; in the other seasons, it can receive sunlight all day. If it is grown indoors, even more so move it frequently to a spot with ample sunlight; in winter, if there is insufficient light, you can supplement the light artificially.
