A geranium gifted by a fellow gardener bloomed continuously for 2 months and burst into a full pot, filling the whole balcony

Geraniums are famous ornamental potted plants and also an excellent choice for indoor pots. Geranium flowers are bright and large, with diverse varieties and many colors, and their effect in decorating a home is very strong. They are very popular and very easy to grow.
The geranium gifted by a fellow gardener has bloomed in a full pot for 2 months in a row. It is so beautiful, and the balcony is packed full.
Below, I will share the care methods with everyone
For newly received geranium seedlings, first pot them up. Choose loose, fertile, well-drained sandy soil. You can use garden soil plus leaf mold, plus a small amount of coarse sand, and then add a small amount of organic base fertilizer. For the base fertilizer, you can choose rapeseed fertilizer, bone meal, decomposed chicken manure, and so on.
After potting, wait until the geranium resumes growth. During the seedling stage, pinch it once to promote new buds to sprout and grow more side branches. Only with many side branches can it bloom more and form a scene of clusters of flowers.
Geraniums prefer light. Place the geranium on the balcony, and the ventilation is also good. In this way, its branches and leaves will grow quickly, and it will be lush and leafy, and it is also less likely to suffer from pests and diseases.
When watering geraniums, generally water again only after the soil is found to be completely dry. This makes root rot less likely, or pour water directly into the tray, and the soil will also absorb water through the gaps.
And during the growth period of the geranium, apply more nitrogen fertilizer, which can promote the growth of the root system and branches and leaves. Before flowering and bud formation, do not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer. Focus on phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, mainly to promote full blooming and make the flowers larger and brighter.
If you keep applying only nitrogen fertilizer to the geranium, it is easy to cause the geranium branches to grow excessively, resulting in a situation where only branches and leaves grow and no flowers appear. That would be a loss not worth the gain.
Caring for geraniums is also very simple. Friends who like them should quickly grow one too!
