Fish waste is a natural fertilizer, and since it is diluted by a large amount of water, the concentration is very weak. You can directly water pothos with the water changed out of the aquarium without worrying about fertilizer burn. Some friends even grow the plant directly in the filter compartment as a water culture, and the pothos grows like crazy too!

I built a fish pond at home with a few koi in it, and planted pothos in the filter compartment. Relying on the light from the nearby window and a grow light, it covered the entire fish pond in just one year. Then, using pushpins and string to guide it, the pothos can even cover the living room.

- Rice water -

Rice water contains protein, starch, vitamins and more. Used to water flowers, it makes plants grow more lushly. Generally, use the water from the first two rinses of rice. Pour the rice water into a bottle, put the lid on, and leave it in the sun for about 7 days. Once the water turns yellow, it is ready. Just leave the bottle cap loosely on.

- Animal offal -

Fish intestines and offal, chicken and duck offal: blanch them in hot water in a pot to make them half-cooked, drain and set aside. Then spread a layer of humus soil in a foam box, put the offal at the very bottom, then add a layer of soil, then a layer of vegetable leaves and fruit peels, and finally seal it with a thick layer of soil.

Cover the foam box and wait for it to ferment. After a few months, dig it open to check whether it has turned black. If it has, move it out into the sun to dry, and then you can bury it beside the flower pot and use it.

- Place it high up -

Place the pothos high up and let it trail down naturally, and it will grow faster! However, if it is too high, watering also becomes a problem, so a moderate height is better.

- Beer -

Beer is rich in nutrients such as sugar, protein, amino acids and phosphate, and also contains a large amount of carbon dioxide gas. Note: generally just use leftover beer or the cheapest beer. Do not use draft beer, as its sugar content is too high.
