This year we built a flower bed at home, and it is a great place for growing succulents in the ground.

First, use bricks to separate the in-ground succulent area from the areas where other flowers are planted, with the terrain slightly higher than the other areas, and the succulent area must not have standing water.

There are no special requirements for the subsoil of in-ground succulents; just level the soil.

Next, apply base fertilizer. I used chicken manure as the base fertilizer.

Cover the chicken manure well with garden soil. Be sure to cover it well, otherwise mosquitoes and insects will breed in summer.

Once the succulents are ready, you can plant them. After a year of leaf propagation, quite a few succulents have been saved up.

I made a DIY succulent hole puncher, and it looks like this, haha

Let's start planting the succulents.

Notes:

1. Set up a good drainage system. Succulents must never have standing water.

2. Ensure good water permeability and air permeability. Garden soil is best, as it is rich in nutrients and well aerated. If using nutrient soil or coconut coir, it is best to mix in an appropriate amount of sand to ensure air and water permeability.

3. Add base fertilizer to ensure fertility. Chicken manure, cow manure, pig manure, etc. can be used, and green manure can also be used.

4. Disinfect properly. If you have carbendazim, you can spray it before planting the succulents.
