Pharyngitis generally occurs in conditions such as colds, and some cases of pharyngitis are caused by diseases such as rhinitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis and tracheitis. Stimulation from tobacco, alcohol and dust can also trigger pharyngitis, producing inflammation of the submucosal tissue of the pharynx, but these are all local factors. In fact, from a broader perspective, it comes down to irregular living habits, an unreasonable diet, and the outward manifestation of certain conditions.

Pharyngitis triggered by various causes can be divided into acute and chronic types. In most cases the triggers before onset are prolonged nasal congestion, or hypertrophic rhinitis and the like, in which mouth breathing allows dry or cold air to directly irritate the pharynx, or long-term postnasal drip flowing down into the pharynx causes irritation. Many causes can trigger pharyngitis. Ordinary people also call pharyngitis, toothache and mouth ulcers "shanghuo" (internal heat).

Pharynx

In fact, this refers to an unreasonable diet or lifestyle. Diet is only one aspect of life. For example, mealtimes are often irregular, sometimes going hungry for long periods, sometimes binge eating and drinking. Over time this easily causes gastrointestinal dysfunction and naturally affects digestion and absorption. When nutrient supply is insufficient, the body easily becomes weak, resistance is poor, and inflammation and colds occur, such as rhinitis, mouth ulcers and pharyngitis.

Irregular living habits cover many aspects. This also refers to the fast pace of modern society, where people are busy, eat irregularly, are fatigued, mentally tense, under great pressure, stay up late, suffer from insomnia, are sluggish, exercise little or not at all, and so on. Losing a normal life affects every body system, and organ functions are also affected and develop problems. Mentally, it can also show up as a short temper and so on.

Pharyngitis

The above causes all easily lead to liver fire and heart fire flaring upward, scorching the upper burner. When symptoms are mild, they appear as inflammation of the pharynx and other areas. In addition, long-term direct or indirect smoking, heavy drinking, or a habit of mouth breathing, as well as rheumatic fever, diabetes, cirrhosis, gout and constipation, all easily trigger and worsen pharyngitis.
