Which orchid varieties are easy to grow? Beginners can plant them with ease

Orchid varieties have always been too numerous to count, and precisely because of this, growing orchids at home is very common. Today we will talk about several orchid varieties suitable for beginners, to help novices grow orchids with ease.
1. Environmental factors
Our country has a vast territory, spanning a large range of latitudes, so the geographical environments of the north and south differ greatly. We first need to know where orchids are easy to grow, and how to grow them in places where they are not easy to grow. We will not say much about the southern regions; not just orchids, but any flower can be grown there. In the northern regions, since the climate is relatively unsuitable for growing orchids, we should choose those tropical orchids that do not have high environmental requirements. Usually we can place tropical orchids on a south-facing balcony, and at the same time we can grow several kinds of plants, which can form a certain plant-growing environment and is also beneficial for later growth.
2. Choosing flower pots
Some friends say, do flower pots really need to be chosen? Aren't they all the same? Plastic, ceramic, purple clay, and so on, as long as they can hold the plant, isn't that enough? Actually that is not the case. We must choose flower pots suitable for the orchid variety when planting. For example, for tropical orchids and Phalaenopsis, we generally should choose clay pots or plastic pots. Some friends begin to question this: how can plastic ones be used? In fact, a reasonably designed plastic flower pot is very good for the breathability of orchid roots, and it is also good for drainage and ventilation.
3. Is watering done correctly
Whether orchids succeed or not depends on whether watering is done well. Orchid roots and stems are all fleshy roots and stems, so when buying we should check whether the roots and stems are growing rather luxuriantly. After planting, we can wait until the next day before watering, to give the wounds some time to heal. When watering, we should water thoroughly in one go, and wait until it dries out completely next time before watering again.
4. Fertilize appropriately to maintain nutrients
Orchids are plants that relatively like fertilizer. We can make fertilizer ourselves, for example by burying decomposed melon seed shells and fruit peels on the surface of the potting soil, or by buying fertilizer that needs to be diluted before use. When fertilizing tropical orchids and Phalaenopsis, pay attention: do not use too much, because fertilizer that is too concentrated will burn the roots.
Orchids are very beautiful flowers, with large petals and diverse colors, and we often grow them on balconies at home.
