Birthday Flowers Roundup: What Birthday Flowers Correspond to the Twelve Months (Part One)

A birthday is a very special day for everyone. In our country, everyone has a Chinese zodiac sign, and foreign countries have something similar to ours. That is, they all have birthday flowers, which originated from the ancient Christian practice of decorating altars with blooming flowers to commemorate departed saints. The 365 saint memorial days were each matched with different flowers, forming a floral calendar.

Later, the legend of birthday flowers representing each of the 365 days of the year spread throughout Europe and America. On one's birthday, people would adorn themselves with their birthday flower to receive blessings. There are 365 kinds of birthday flowers (so many), and the editor won't go into detail about each one (if you want to know your own personal birthday flower, you can look it up). Let's just get a rough idea of the birthday flowers for the first day of each month, shall we?

But long ago, it was chosen as the flower to commemorate the Bishop of Grenoble - Saint Hugh - who devoted himself to the reform movement in the early 8th century.

Blessing: Anyone born under this flower's blessing is very earnest and straightforward, and will never ignore unreasonable things.
