The first time I saw this peach egg, I felt heartbroken. How did it end up like this? Are we sure it is a peach egg? I truly had no idea whether it could even survive! But this peach egg was given to me by a sister from Guangzhou who also loves succulents. She said she believed I could make a miracle happen and believed I could make her beautiful, so no matter what, I still had to plant it. This peach egg traveled thousands of li from Guangzhou to Yunnan, to the shore of Erhai Lake, so I could not let down the hopes my sister placed in me and in the peach egg! So I would slowly wait for a miracle to appear. Because this peach egg basically had no root system, I started by trimming the roots and potting it up.
After potting up the succulent, I kept it on a balcony that got no sun but was very ventilated for almost two weeks, and found that it had actually survived and the leaves had started to grow. Next, I let it get 2 hours of sun every day and then moved it to a spot with a bit of diffused light.
This routine lasted about a month, and then I simply put the peach egg on the front balcony and began a semi-outdoor growing state. Unexpectedly, three months later this thing actually became beautiful, but unexpectedly it became even more beautiful later!
After about 1 month of semi-outdoor growing, I moved the succulent to the yard and began full outdoor growing. A few months later, today, this succulent has made me utterly enchanted by its beauty!
(Curator's note: Actually, growing succulents is a process of tempering one's patience. Everyone wants to grow their succulents into their best state, but not many succeed. Still, the curator hopes that no one gives up. Who could grow succulents so well right from the start? Beautiful succulents are the result of time piling up. And the curator welcomes everyone's submissions. Even if your succulent may not be especially beautiful, it is still your most truly beloved treasure~ every succulent deserves to be treated with sincerity.)
