Succulents Always Die in Summer? Try These Summer-Growing Succulents

Succulents have become the new trendy little darlings. My best friend has all kinds of varieties on her balcony - Haworthia cooperi, striped Haworthia fasciata '12', Echeveria 'Derlu', Echeveria 'Blood Rose', and several more I can't even name. Lately, lots of friends have been absolutely obsessed. Succulents are also divided into summer-growing types, winter-growing types, and spring-autumn-growing types. Summer-growing type means they are suitable for planting in summer. Summer is almost here, so let's take a look at which varieties are summer-growing types!
1. Golden Barrel Cactus (Echinocactus grusonii): The Golden Barrel Cactus is a type of cactus ball belonging to the Cactaceae family. It has a rather unique appearance, which is why many people grow it. The Golden Barrel Cactus has a round, emerald-green body and stiff golden-yellow spines, with a ring of dense golden-yellow fuzz at the top. From June to October, flowers will bloom from the fuzz at the top, but it requires proper growing conditions to bloom. It is very suitable for growing in the office.
2. Variegated Agave (Agave americana var. marginata): Agave is a perennial evergreen large herbaceous plant belonging to the Agavaceae family. This plant is itself a high-quality indoor potted ornamental plant, suitable whether placed in the living room or the hallway, and can even be placed in the office. Besides decorating the interior, it can also help relieve eye fatigue. But the Variegated Agave is a sun-loving plant, so it is best placed in a sunny spot.
3. Thor's Hammer (Echeveria 'Thor'): Does the name sound quite mighty? Actually, Thor's Hammer is a rather short and elegant little succulent, but its blue-green leaves are very beautiful. Thor's Hammer is the favorite of many urban girls. It is suitable for indoor potting and can be placed on an indoor coffee table or desk for display and appreciation.
4. Chihuahua (Echeveria 'Chihuahuaensis'): Also known as Echeveria 'Chihuahuaensis', it is a succulent plant of the Crassulaceae family, Echeveria genus. Because the Chihuahua has a relatively small plant shape and compact rosette leaf arrangement, it is a highly ornamental succulent plant. Suggested planting combinations: Sedum lineare and Echeveria 'Truy Lian'. Suitable for indoor potting, can be placed on an indoor office desk.
5. Black Prince (Echeveria 'Black Prince'): Also a succulent of the Crassulaceae family, Echeveria genus. Its neat rosette leaf arrangement and special leaf color give it high ornamental value. Moreover, cultivation and propagation are relatively simple, making it an excellent choice for home potting. And the name gives a mysterious, dark-hearted feeling, making it deeply favored by dominant-type women. When planting, it can be paired with Sedum japonicum 'Tokyo Sun' and Sedum 'Little Pine Wave'.
