About the creation of "Destruction of Opium at Humen"
"I had no choice but to stay there bored, and my gaze was slowly drawn to a stainless steel bowl lid full of cigarette butts. I unexpectedly discovered that the colors of the cigarette butts and the colors on a tiger's body - yellow, white and black - are very similar. Vaguely, I seemed to see a group of tigers struggling and roaring, bellowing at me! Right after that, I thought of tigers and cigarette butts, both lives on the verge of extinction and burning out, how similar the two are in their fate. I immediately took a photo, and this accidental discovery excited me immensely! And so, this painting 'Destruction of Opium at Humen' came to be."
