The idea from the gardening enthusiast is really quite good, and this potted plant sounds expensive just hearing about it. Reishi has always given people the impression of a miracle herb, because reishi has nourishing benefits and can prolong life, so it is called the reishi immortal herb. However, not many people grow reishi as a bonsai, though it is not impossible either. Here, Science Xingnong shares with everyone how to grow reishi as a bonsai.

1. The growth habits of reishi

To grow reishi well, the first step is naturally to understand its growth habits. Once we clearly understand its habits, we can know whether our own home is suitable for growing reishi. Reishi is a type of fungus plant, and wild reishi mainly grows in mountain forests, so reishi relatively prefers a cool and moist growing environment.

The most suitable growing temperature is between 25 degrees and 30 degrees. The environment where reishi grows should ideally keep the air fresh, because reishi relatively likes an environment with plenty of oxygen. If the carbon dioxide content in the air is too high, it will affect the growth of reishi. In addition, reishi is sensitive to light and is suitable for growing in a dark and damp environment.

2. Reishi mushroom spawn bags

Reishi mushroom spawn bags are actually very easy to obtain. Search online and you will find many shops selling them, but gardening enthusiasts still need to shop around and buy relatively reliable reishi spawn bags. After preparing the spawn bag, cut an opening of about two cm at the plastic interface of the spawn bag, then place the spawn bag in a container, wrap the spawn bag with a wet towel, and then cover the top of the container with plastic film. Maintain humidity, spray water frequently, and move it to a cool place to avoid sunlight. Generally, reishi will grow in about a month. If you think this is too troublesome, you can also directly buy already-grown live reishi.

3. Daily care

After reishi grows out of the spawn bag, it can generally be potted after one or two months. Choose a relatively beautiful flower pot, and according to the gardening enthusiast's aesthetic needs, put the spawn bag into the flower pot, cover the spawn bag with soil, and lay moss on top.

Usually keep the reishi growing environment moist and spray water frequently, but do not spray too much each time. When reishi grows spore powder, stop spraying water. At this time, you can wrap the reishi with a plastic bag and collect the spore powder.

Generally, after more than ten days, the reishi is mature. Usually pay attention to keeping indoor air fresh, and use clean neutral water for spraying. Keep the temperature between 25 degrees and 30 degrees, and pay attention to shading from the sun.
