Fellow plant lovers, do you ever feel the urge to put your plants out on the balcony? Of course you do - watching them bask in the sun at their leisure, feeling the breeze in peaceful comfort. As long as the plant is happy, your heart feels just wonderful.

But did you know, fellow plant lovers, that some plants simply cannot be kept on the balcony? They fear the sun and prefer a cool, ventilated environment - you cannot give them strong direct sunlight. To them, that is nothing short of torture!

So which plants cannot be placed on a balcony with direct strong sunlight? Let's take a look together:

1. Epiphyllum (Queen of the Night)

Many plant lovers have heard of the famous Epiphyllum - blooming in the middle of the night, and only for a fleeting moment, mysterious and bewitching! This delicate Epiphyllum is extremely afraid of strong light.

It should be placed in partial shade, in a ventilated environment, with loose, fertile, well-draining soil, keeping the potting soil moist. It cannot be put on a south-facing balcony to be sunned directly - it scorches easily, and may even die.

2. Lucky Bamboo

Lucky Bamboo carries a wonderful meaning: wealth and peace. Lucky Bamboo is mostly grown in water, placed in the living room - a clean glass of clear water, green leaves and fresh stems, very beautiful.

Keep it in a ventilated spot in the living room with a little diffused light; it cannot be placed on the balcony under direct strong sunlight, as the leaves easily turn yellow from scorching, and then it is no longer attractive. Add water in the right amount, and add a little nutrient solution each month to ensure its growth needs.

3. Asparagus Fern

Asparagus Fern is a fairly common green plant. At the tips of its slender, delicate stems, the fluffy leaves spread out freely - fine and slender, yet full of stubborn spirit! Asparagus Fern likes a partially shaded environment and diffused light. If it is exposed to strong direct sunlight, the leaves scorch easily, curling and burning, which is very bad for its growth.

It is best placed in a diffused-light spot in the living room or on a north-facing balcony. The environment should be ventilated, the soil loose and fertile with good drainage, kept moist, watered as soon as it dries out, and never waterlogged. During the growing season, apply cake fertilizer or decomposed fertilizer once or twice a month.

4. Anthurium

Anthurium - passionate and bold, bright and lovely. Many plant lovers adore its fiery spirit and like to keep a pot at home. Anthurium enjoys a warm, humid environment and fears drought. Never expose it to strong sun, as the leaves scorch easily, turn yellow and withered, and it may even die.

Usually keep it in a spot with diffused light, keep the soil moist with good drainage, avoid waterlogging, and fertilize in moderation to ensure the plant's growth needs.

5. Rubber Plant

The Rubber Plant is grown mainly for its foliage; its leaves are broad, thick and spreading, with a sturdy, honest form. Some plant lovers really adore it - placed indoors, it is beautiful and endearing, very lovable.

The Rubber Plant likes a warm environment, tolerates shade and fears cold. The soil should be loose and fertile with good drainage, kept moist, and it should be grown in diffused light - it cannot take direct strong sunlight, as the leaves scorch easily. Fertilize appropriately to ensure sufficient nutrients.

6. Pothos

Everyone is very familiar with this one, right? It loves an environment with scattered light. If you put it under strong light, the leaves will be scorched in just a few days. So to grow Pothos well, give it an environment with plenty of scattered light and loose, breathable soil, keep the potting soil moist during the growing season, and fertilize once every half month - then it grows like crazy, with leaves glossy green every day.

There are many other flowers that are not suited to the strong light of a balcony, such as Christmas Cactus, hydrangea, water-grown Pothos, Peace Lily, and many more.

Only by understanding a plant's habits can you grow beautiful flowers. May the plants you grow reach new heights every month and fill their pots every year!
