How to grow spider plants well? You need to master these few care tips
1. Light
If you want spider plants to grow well, light is very important. They do not like sunlight that is too strong and prefer a semi-shady environment, but an environment that is too dark will also affect their growth. Neither overly strong light nor overly dark conditions suit their growth. If they receive light during the strong summer sun, the leaves are easily scorched, so avoid exposure to strong sunlight.
2. Watering
Spider plants need plenty of water during their peak growing period from March to September, so water them promptly. In autumn, to improve their cold resistance, watering should be reduced. In summer, water twice a day; in spring and autumn, once a day is enough; in winter, watering does not need to be too frequent - about once every 4-5 days is fine. Indoors there will be a lot of dust, so spray and wash the branches and leaves promptly so as not to affect normal growth. Frequent spraying and washing also keeps the branches and leaves more vivid and beautiful.
3. Fertilizing
To grow spider plants well, fertilizing is key. They are fairly tolerant of fertilizer; if the amount applied is too small, the leaves will turn yellow. From spring to autumn, apply organic fertilizer about once every 7-10 days. For those with golden centers or golden edges, do not apply excessive nitrogen fertilizer.
4. Repotting
Repotting also benefits the growth of spider plants. Generally, spring is chosen as the repotting time, as the temperature is more suitable then and it also favors their growth. When repotting, prepare the growing soil and cut off unnecessary roots as well as yellow and withered leaves.
