How to grow narcissus so it thrives
1. Light
Narcissus likes sunny spots. It is a short-day plant, so place it in a room with plenty of sunlight. While it is growing, it is best to give it as much light as possible, because sufficient light helps it grow faster and also helps it grow better. If there is not enough sunlight, move it indoors; if there is plenty of sunlight, it is best to place it outdoors to receive light.
2. Water
Different growth stages require different amounts of water. Narcissus needs a certain amount of water to grow, especially during the growing period when water must be sufficient. Once it matures, its metabolism slows down, and at this point watering should be reduced appropriately.
3. Temperature
To grow narcissus well, the temperature must be suitable. If there is sunlight, you can use the light to raise the temperature. If the temperature is low, you can make a small greenhouse with a plastic bag: put the narcissus into the plastic bag and blow air into it, then tie the opening of the bag shut once it is sufficiently inflated.
4. Pruning
To grow narcissus well, you must prune it promptly. Without pruning, it easily grows too densely. Whenever you find yellow or dry leaves, cut them off. Timely pruning can also reduce the consumption of nutrients, and overly long branches and leaves should also be cut off. The tools used for pruning must be disinfected, and dust on the leaves should be washed off first. After pruning, it can receive an appropriate amount of light, which helps reduce the breeding of pathogens.
