Soil that never compacts and roots that never rot for ten years: grab a handful of two things and mix them into the soil, and your flowers will thrive

Plant growth depends on these key elements: sunlight, water, fertilizer and soil. The first three are certainly important, but soil determines whether a plant grows well or poorly, so if you want to grow flowers successfully, you must choose good soil.
To grow flowers and plants well, no matter what kind of plant it is, you must choose loose soil with good drainage. Only then will root growth be favored, allowing the roots to breathe freely and reducing the chance of waterlogging, which in turn prevents root rot. When the root system grows well, the branches and leaves will grow more vigorously.
For soil to be loose, breathable and well-draining, it must not become compacted. So grab a handful of these two things and sprinkle them into the soil, and the soil will stay loose and not compact, roots will not rot for ten years, and the flowers will bloom like crazy.
Expanded clay pebbles
When potting or repotting flowers, adding a small amount of expanded clay pebbles to the soil can increase the soil's drainage and breathability. If you water too much, it can reduce waterlogging and let excess water drain away smoothly, while also reducing the chance of root rot, making the flower roots grow stronger and stronger.
Expanded clay pebbles can not only be mixed into the soil; large pebbles can be placed at the bottom of the flower pot to further improve permeability.
In addition, expanded clay pebbles can be used as a top dressing for potted plants, simple, neat and very attractive.
Coal cinders
Sprinkling a handful of coal cinders into flower soil can also increase permeability and drainage, greatly reducing the chance of problems for the plants. It can make flower roots grow strong, and when the root system grows well, the branches and leaves will grow vigorously and the flowers will be more abundant and vivid. Before use, it is recommended to rinse them several times with clean water and leave them in the sun for two days.
Either of these two materials, sprinkled into flower soil, can increase permeability and drainage, and the results are both very good.
