Grown outdoors on the rooftop year-round, kept warm in winter, sheltered from rain and sun in summer, basically left to the mercy of the weather. If it does not rain for more than half a month, I will water them a little. All in all, they are pretty low-maintenance. When I am busy, it is fine not to go up to the rooftop for a few days. The less you fuss over them, the prettier they get! A reminder to everyone to make preparations for getting through summer recently, mainly pest prevention, fungus prevention, and sooty mold prevention! Starting in May, gradually reduce watering to prepare for cutting off water in summer! Whether they can safely get through summer, the preparations in spring are very important.

More photos, less talk! The weather has gradually turned hotter recently, and with more rain, the colors have faded slightly! Shot with a phone, no Photoshop at all

Sedum pachyphyllum (Jelly Beans), grown for three years, and this year it finally rewarded me with full coloration

Cre mnosedum Little Beauty, coloration is not bad either, jelly orange

Unknown variety, even the seller did not know when I bought it... Experts, please help identify it

Many people ask whether I fertilized them to grow them so plump? This is a misconception many people have, thinking that only with fertilizer can succulents become plump and full. Actually, that is not the case. Even poor, gritty soil can still grow them very plump. My soil is basically 60-70% grit, and sometimes I add a little slow-release fertilizer when mixing the soil. No other fertilizer at all!

If you want succulents to grow plump, the first thing is to have a good root system, needless to say. The second is, when conditions allow and the season is suitable, let them get rained on as much as possible. Rainwater contains various trace elements that succulents need, the best natural fertilizer!

The third and most important point is, do not water frequently. Let the soil dry out completely before watering, and each time you water, water thoroughly. This is what is called "dry thoroughly, water thoroughly." Only when the soil is dry and lacking water will succulents desperately absorb water, storing enough moisture to cope with the next drought. If you never water thoroughly, although the succulents want to store water, they cannot drink their fill, and it is hard for them to get plump!

Echeveria 'Qiluo' (Echeveria 'Kiro') crested

The largest crested Echeveria 'Qiluo' (Echeveria 'Kiro'), but the leaves are much smaller. Not sure whether it is a variety issue or related to controlled growing

Echeveria 'Gang Ye Lian' (Steel Leaf Lotus)

Yellow-skinned Echeveria 'Wumu' (Ebony)

Pansy (Echeveria 'Tricolor'), super hard to get into color

Pansy (Echeveria 'Tricolor') crested
