I am a housewife, and my daily life is taking care of the kids, doing housework... I like a slow-paced life. Falling in love with succulents has made my life more calm and happy...

Compared with other people who grow succulents, I count as a pitiful windowsill grower. You can tell from the pictures - my only three sunny windowsills are completely filled by me, and the windowsill is less than 30 cm. Every time I get one more pot of succulents, I have to move all kinds of pots around, matching large and small pots, not wasting even one inch of space. Do you understand this feeling...

My husband often jokes that in the future we are going to build a villa, and then I have even figured out how to build the sunroom. After all, you still have to have dreams - what if they come true?

These are the three succulents I bought when I first got into the hobby while browsing the flower market. I chose three pots. That was the summer of 2007, when the highest temperature in my great Changsha reached over 40 degrees. Maybe I was the only one buying succulents then. I only remember that the greenhouse was full of succulents of one uniform green, growing especially well and lush... Yes, at that time I thought they all looked great.

When I got back, I filled soil into a discarded plant pot downstairs that someone had thrown away, planted them carefully, then watered them heavily, and placed them on the TV cabinet in the living room...

You should know that I am famous for being great at growing greenery. For example, spider plants - give me one pot, and within a year every corner of the home is green. Allow me to show off a bit!

The day after planting the succulents, I went back to my parents' home in Hengyang. Before leaving, I did not forget to ask my family, if the weather is hot, remember to water them for me!

Half a month later I came back...

Later I learned that the surviving pot of succulents was called Qingli (Echeveria 'Qingli'). Later, through Baidu, I learned about the habits of succulents, so I stopped watering it. I cannot imagine how it survived that kind of hot, stuffy big summer! When I posted pictures on WeChat Moments, a friend saw that I was growing succulents and recommended Succulent Plants Encyclopedia to me. From then on I knew what "state" meant, what "old stem" meant, what "legginess" meant... It turns out succulents are so beautiful, it turns out they can change color, it turns out it is such a deep pit......... If it were not for that pot of Qingli that survived stubbornly, if all three pots had died, I estimate that at that time I would have cut myself off from succulents forever. As soon as summer passed, I started the buy-buy-buy mode, and in less than a year it rapidly grew to more than 100 pots! As a succulent friend put it, pots, soil, and plants - there is always one on the way!

This is the current state of that pot of Qingli. A cliff-style stem is just around the corner, and it has also sprouted many little pups. I feel a great sense of achievement...

I also learned from others to play with mixed arrangements, clearing out my husband's tea leaves to plant succulents. Not long after, that wooden box rotted because I watered too much, and then this also counts as a memorial photo!

Next, let's look at some beautiful succulents! I think they are very beautiful, haha

Ice Plum, the expensive one in my home. I bought it when it snowed before the New Year and waited a long time. Because of succulents, I did not feel the cold the whole winter; I spent it all waiting for succulents.

TP pseudo-cluster

Planted at my parents' home in Hengyang. I missed it so much that I brought it over. In fact, I still have dozens of pots at my parents' home, and I also successfully got my sister-in-law into the hobby.

This pot has already been reluctantly given away and carried off by my aunt...

And this pot of Echeveria 'Violet Queen' was also bought when it snowed before the New Year. It has been more than three months now and it is still listless. Can any experts tell me the reason? I do not know whether it can still be saved!

When I bought the succulents back then, they looked like this, yet I still treasured them immensely, carefully matching pots and soil, looking at them countless times a day!

There are too many photos on my phone, and comparison pictures are too hard to find. This pot is a comparison picture from September last year to now... What is it called? I do not know. My succulents are all common varieties. I do not pursue varieties, and I do not pursue extreme states (after all, that is also something I cannot achieve). As long as they are alive, that is fine! As long as I like them, that is enough!

You must be tired after looking at so many succulents. Here is a touch of green casually taken while taking a walk, fresh and pleasing to the eye.

My most beloved people, my 68-year-old grandmother and my 3-year-old son! To accompany you as you grow old and accompany you as you grow up for the rest of my life is my greatest happiness!

Finally, allow me to be a little vain. I wish everyone peace, happiness, and joy...
