The flower enthusiast's idea is really quite good, and this potted plant sounds very expensive. Reishi has always given people the feeling of a miracle herb, because reishi has nourishing benefits and can prolong life, so it is called the reishi immortal grass. However, not many people grow reishi as bonsai, though it is not impossible either. Here, Science Xingnong shares with everyone how to grow reishi as bonsai.

1. The growth habits of reishi

To grow reishi well, the first step is naturally to understand its growth habits. Only by understanding these habits clearly can we know whether our own home is suitable for growing reishi. Reishi is a type of fungus, and wild reishi mainly grows in mountain forests, so reishi relatively prefers a cool and humid growing environment.

The most suitable growing temperature is between 25°C and 30°C. The growing environment for reishi is best kept with fresh air, because reishi relatively prefers an environment rich in oxygen; if the carbon dioxide content in the air is too high, it will affect the growth of reishi. In addition, reishi is sensitive to light and is suitable for growing in a dark and damp environment.

2. Reishi mushroom grow bags

Reishi mushroom grow bags are actually very easy to obtain; search online and you will find many shops selling them, but flower enthusiasts still need to shop around and buy relatively reliable reishi grow bags. After preparing the grow bag, cut an opening of about 2 cm at the plastic interface of the bag, then place the grow bag in a container, wrap the grow bag with a wet towel, and then cover the top of the container with plastic film. Maintain humidity, spray water frequently, and move it to a cool place to avoid sunlight. Generally, reishi will grow in about a month. If you think this is too troublesome, you can also directly buy already-grown live reishi.

3. Daily care

After reishi grows out of the grow bag, it can generally be potted after one or two months. Choose a relatively beautiful flower pot, and according to the flower enthusiast's aesthetic preference, place the grow bag into the flower pot, cover the grow bag with soil, and spread moss on top.

Usually, keep the reishi growing environment moist and spray water frequently, but do not spray too much each time. When the reishi produces spore powder, stop spraying water; at this time, you can wrap the reishi with a plastic bag and harvest the spore powder.

Generally, after about ten-plus days, the reishi is mature. Usually pay attention to keeping indoor air fresh, and use clean neutral water for spraying. Keep the temperature between 25°C and 30°C, and pay attention to shading.
