If you ask which flower is both large and beautiful, geraniums rank right up there. They have many varieties, their colors are brilliant and gorgeous, and they are quite easy to propagate. So if you like geraniums, what's so hard about that? Cut a few stems and stick them in soil, they root in 10 days and bloom in two months, and you can propagate a whole balcony full. It really is so lively.

Spring and autumn are the best seasons for propagating geraniums, so right now is very suitable. Below, I'll share the method with everyone!

Cut healthy stems from the geranium and trim them to 8 to 10 cm. Remove the lower leaves and keep 2 to 3 leaves at the top to aid photosynthesis. Insert them into sandy soil and water thoroughly. Under suitable temperatures, they will root in about 10 days. If you have vermiculite at home, you can also insert them into vermiculite, where they root faster, in about 7-10 days, with a higher survival rate.

When the roots grow to 3 to 5 cm, transplant them into pots. The potting soil should be loose, breathable, fertile sandy soil. You can mix garden soil with leaf mold and coarse sand, then add a small amount of organic base fertilizer.

Once they have fully resumed growth, pinch the tips once or twice. The purpose of pinching is to encourage side buds to grow; more side branches means more flowers, which makes the ornamental effect stronger.

Geraniums are full-sun plants. Ensure at least 6 hours of light every day, and only then will they bloom abundantly, with flowers that are both vivid and large.

When caring for geraniums, prune them from time to time, and pinch the tips once or twice during the seedling stage. The healthy stems and top buds cut off this way can all be used for cuttings to propagate. It is recommended to propagate several plants at once; they will bloom in about 2 months. Placed on the balcony in summer, it really is so lively, and everyone who sees them is envious.
