Plants die easily after repotting? Pay attention to these points for strong roots and green leaves

Spring is a good season for repotting, but recently Huahua heard that many flower lovers' plants look listless right after repotting, or even die. Today Huahua has summed up a few points to note when repotting. Follow along with Huahua, and your repotted plants will soon perk up!
When to repot
Complete Guide to Growing Flowers
The best time to repot is during the plant's dormant period or growing period. Repotting at this time causes the least damage to the potted plant, and the potted plant recovers quickly. If your plant is about to die, then don't worry about the timing of repotting!
Most potted plants can be repotted in spring or autumn, as long as the temperature is 15-20°C.
Note: Plants cannot be repotted during their growing period, acclimatisation period, or flowering period!
Steps for repotting

1. Removing the plant from the pot:
Before removing the plant from the pot, first control the watering. Do not water for 3~5 days before removing it from the pot; it is easier to remove the plant when the potting soil is half dry.
Note that the roots must be kept with soil. You can trim the roots appropriately and remove some of the old potting soil, but the soil in the middle of the roots must not be disturbed!
2. Trimming the roots
Use scissors to cut off rotten roots and old roots; if there are dead leaves, cut them off as well.
Apply carbendazim powder to the cut surfaces to sterilise and disinfect them.
3. Preparing new potting soil
1. If the repotted plant has already reached its final form, you can use a flower pot of the same size for repotting. If the repotted plant is still growing, use a pot one size larger.
2. Prepare new soil; you can mix it yourself or buy it directly. If you want to use old soil, be sure to expose it to the sun first to sterilise and disinfect it.
3. Before adding soil, it is best to place some broken tiles or clay pebbles at the bottom of the pot to increase the soil's aeration, and add a small amount of base fertiliser, such as sterilised chicken manure or cake fertiliser, to increase soil fertility.
4. Putting it in the new pot
Hold the plant upright and place it in the new pot, sprinkling in new soil while gently shaking the plant.
After the new soil is added, water once to settle the roots, that is, water thoroughly until water flows out from the bottom of the pot.

After repotting, first place the plant in a cool, shaded spot for a period of care. After about 1 week, move it to a bright, well-ventilated spot and care for it normally.
Do not apply fertiliser within 3 months after repotting.
Clivia (Clivia miniata), orchids and the like are usually repotted once every 2~3 years, while plants with fast-growing roots like spider plants are best repotted once a year.
