Pothos and Christmas cactus are both common flowers that gardening fans grow and keep. If you want to grow them well, it is not hard either. For example, gardening fan Mr. Zhang just adds a little something to rice water and uses it together to water flowers, once a week, and his pothos and Christmas cactus grew like crazy!

Rice water + beer

Recipe: Beer, whether expired or not, leave it open for 2-3 days, mix it thoroughly with rice water at a 1:1 ratio, seal it, and put it on a balcony that gets sunlight. Every few days, open the lid to let out gas, then seal it again. After about 2-3 weeks it will be fully fermented. The standard for full fermentation is that it looks black in the bottle.

How to use: Mix the fully fermented solution thoroughly with water at a 1:20 ratio, and directly water the roots of pothos and Christmas cactus with it, once a week. Within half a month, you will definitely see results.

Rice water + urea

1. Recipe: Take rice water, preferably the rice water from the first two rinses, and fill 1/3 of a large plastic drink bottle (4L). Then add clean water, not too full, put the lid on and place it in the sun to ferment. 10-15 days is enough. Add 25-30 urea granules to the fermented rice water and let the urea dissolve. To speed up dissolving, you can shake the bottle by hand.

Take the dissolved solution and directly water the roots of pothos and Christmas cactus, or spray the leaves. Use it about once every 20 days. It can make pothos grow quickly, with strong roots and thick, dark green leaves.

Rice water + okara

Recipe: Put the okara left over from making soy milk into a plastic bottle, mix it with water at a 1:1 ratio, then put the lid on. Do not screw the lid on too tightly, so a little air can pass through. To prevent it from smelling bad during fermentation, you can also add a little orange peel. After about one month, the okara will be fully fermented and ready to use.

Take the clear liquid on top and mix it with water at a 1:50 ratio, then use it to water the roots of pothos and Christmas cactus. Evenly dig a few 3-5 cm small holes near the edge of the pot, bury the okara in them, and the flowers will grow more upright with greener leaves!

The reason rice water cannot be used directly is that it burns the roots. Using the above methods is more effective!
