The rose is the queen of flowers, and its blooms are beautiful and captivating, which is why so many people love it. During the care of roses, yellowing leaves can appear, and if not dealt with in time, it can lead to death.

When rose leaves turn yellow, and the plant even dies as a result, let's take a look at the causes of yellowing rose leaves and how to solve them!

(1). Improper fertilisation

Too much fertiliser or fertiliser that is too concentrated burns the roots, causing the leaves to turn yellow and leading to the plant wilting and dying.

Solution: In the early stage of rose growth, apply light fertiliser frequently, never use undecomposed organic fertiliser, dilute excess fertiliser in time, and use watering to flush the fertiliser out through the drainage holes.

(2). Overwatering

The signs of overwatering are that the old leaves are not much affected, the young leaves turn dull yellow and lose their gloss, the stems become thinner and turn yellow-green, and the new shoots shrivel.

Solution: Water appropriately, let excess water evaporate as quickly as possible, and place the plant in a well-ventilated spot. In severe cases, the soil needs to be replaced.

(3). Lack of water

The signs of prolonged lack of water in roses are that the leaf tips and edges dry out, the old leaves wither yellow and drop from the bottom upwards, and the new leaves are not affected.

Solution: Follow the principle of not watering until the soil is dry, and watering thoroughly when you do, keeping the plant well supplied with water. The potting soil should not be dry, nor should it be waterlogged.

(4). Yellow leaves from disease

When the rose's root system is infected by disease, the leaves fail to open properly and then turn yellow.

Solution: Spray a antiviral treatment to prevent and control the disease, and care for the plant well so it has a healthy growing environment.

(5). Too much light

When the blazing sun shines directly on a rose, the leaf tips and leaf edges dry out and yellow spots appear.

Solution: Move it to a shady spot in time and take measures to shade it.

(6). Lack of light

When a rose is kept in a shaded environment for a long time, it lacks photosynthesis, and the leaves of the whole plant turn yellow and then drop.

Solution: Place it in a spot with sufficient light in time, supplement the light, and never expose it to blazing sun.
