Goldfish Plant Leaves Turning Yellow? A Few Simple Tricks to Make Them Lush, Glossy and Overflowing the Pot

The goldfish plant has unusual, goldfish-shaped flowers that look very cute. So what should you do when its leaves keep turning yellow? Read on to find out the causes and solutions!
What should you do when the goldfish plant's leaves turn yellow?
(1). Strong light
The goldfish plant likes a cool, shady environment. Too much light makes its leaves dull and yellow, with yellow spots appearing.
Solution: Keep the goldfish plant away from strong sunlight and place it in a semi-shaded environment.
(2). Improper watering
The goldfish plant likes moisture, but there must not be standing water in the pot, otherwise the roots cannot breathe and the leaves turn yellow.
Solution: Water the goldfish plant enough to keep the potting soil moist, but do not let water accumulate in the pot. In summer, mist the leaves or the surrounding area regularly to keep things moist and the leaves clean.
(3). Improper temperature
The suitable temperature for the goldfish plant's growth is around 20°C. Temperatures above 30°C or below 10°C will make its leaves turn yellow.
Solution: Provide shade during the high summer temperatures, and protect the plant from freezing in winter to avoid cold damage.
(4). Disease
Yellow spots generally indicate leaf spot disease; the center of the spots is light brown and has concentric rings.
Solution: Take appropriate preventive measures. If leaf spot disease is found, spray with a fungicide. Generally use a 75% chlorothalonil solution diluted 700 times, spraying once every 7-8 days; 2-3 sprays should bring a full recovery.
