Overwatering: Too much or too frequent watering can cause leaves to turn yellow, so water moderately in normal care; improper fertilizing: excessive fertilizing or applying unfermented, undecomposed fertilizer can cause leaves to turn yellow, so fertilize reasonably; excessive light: light should not be too intense, and shade appropriately when sunlight is strong; pest and disease damage: damage from pests and diseases will cause leaves to turn yellow.

1. Overwatering:

Cause: Although amaryllis likes moisture, it cannot tolerate excessive water accumulation; too much or too frequent watering will cause leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: Do not water it frequently, and do not water too much at one time; just keep the soil slightly moist. If the rainy season brings too much rain, take drainage measures in time to avoid water accumulation.

2. Improper fertilizing:

Cause: If you apply excessive fertilizer or unfermented, undecomposed fertilizer, it is very likely to cause fertilizer burn, and the leaves will turn yellow as a result.

Solution: Do not apply too much or excessive fertilizer, and do not apply undecomposed fertilizer or pure phosphorus fertilizer; fertilize reasonably in normal care.

3. Excessive light:

Cause: Amaryllis loves sunlight, but the light should not be too intense; if it is exposed to strong sunlight for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: When sunlight is strong, take appropriate shading measures, or simply move it to a spot with weak sunlight.

4. Pest and disease damage:

Cause: After amaryllis is damaged by pests and diseases, the leaves will turn yellow, mainly due to spider mites or leaf spot disease, etc.

Solution: First remove the leaves that have already turned yellow, and at the same time spray with a suitable pesticide. If it is spider mites, you can catch them by hand; in severe cases, you can spray a pesticide.
