Plum blossom leaves turning yellow: causes and solutions
1. Reduce watering:
Cause: Plum blossoms are relatively drought-tolerant, which means they cannot tolerate waterlogging. If they are watered too much or there is too much rain in the rainy season, the leaves will turn yellow.
Solution: Water in the right amount, do not water too frequently, and do not water too much at one time. If there is too much rain in the rainy season, take timely drainage measures.
2. Increase watering:
Cause: Although it is drought-tolerant, it still needs a certain amount of water during the growing period. If it lacks water, the leaves will turn yellow, and in severe cases they will even wither and die.
Solution: At this time, water it immediately, and also water it regularly in normal times. Do not leave too long between waterings.
3. Reduce fertilizing:
Cause: If fertilizing is too frequent, or if fertilizer is applied at a time when it is not suitable to fertilize, the leaves will become thick and turn yellow.
Solution: In normal times, be sure to control the amount of fertilizer. Do not fertilize too much or too frequently, but during its vigorous growth period you can fertilize once every 10-15 days.
4. Increase fertilizing:
Cause: If the amount of fertilizer is insufficient or the interval between fertilizing is too long, yellow leaves and even withering and death will occur due to insufficient nutrients.
Solution: After discovering that the leaves have turned yellow due to insufficient nutrients, do not apply too much fertilizer at one time, so as to avoid burning the roots. Simply fertilize regularly and in the right amount in normal times.
