What to do when a potted plant is dying? A mom teaches you one trick to save a dying plant
What should you do when your pothos is dying?
Pothos is a shade-loving plant and cannot be exposed to strong sun. If your pothos has yellowing leaves and starts to rot, it is usually caused by cold damage, sunburn, or lack of water. So how do you save it? Don't worry, Xiaojun will teach you a few tricks!
Step 1
From the roots upward, keep only 1-2 growth nodes and cut off everything else. Place the trimmed pothos in a spot with bright, indirect light and good airflow. When you see the surface of the potting soil turn pale, water it thoroughly once. Also, spray a little water on the soil surface every day to maintain humidity.
Step 2
If you have plastic wrap at home, you can also cover the soil surface with a layer of plastic wrap. Do not wrap it too tightly, and poke a ring of small holes around the edges for ventilation. Cover with a layer of plastic wrap.
Step 3
After 1-2 weeks, the old stems will grow tender new growth nodes. At this point, you can let it gradually receive light, and remember to mist it to keep moisture in.
