My first submission got recognition from so many succulent friends (see "From the Succulent Pit to the Pot Pit, Poverty Unearthed My Potential!" for details), which had me thrilled for quite a while! It felt like winning the lottery and gave me even more confidence to keep painting! But I know there is still a gap compared to the many great masters. Some details are quite difficult to handle, or simply end up as failures. Well, a newbie just grows by groping along through practice, right? Sometimes I get discouraged too. For example, when a detail just won't come out right, I really want to give up, but I am unwilling to accept it, and luckily I persisted!
Thanks to my succulent friends
Recently I have become obsessed with little loli figures. One look and I am completely charmed! Isn't that right, haha
Come, come, first take a look at their former selves. They really don't catch your eye, do they? But once they put on new clothes, it is an absolute gorgeous transformation
Next comes a series of dirty and tiring auxiliary work - first draw the draft and carve the lines, then apply the base color! I usually use white as the base so the colors come out more vivid. By the way, this line carving is so dirty and such physical labor that I have to be fully armed for it, so I always carve them all in one batch. Ugh, too much hand work - I can't even lift my arms anymore
Take a breather - next comes the time for the gorgeous transformation - take a look at their present selves. Isn't it a gorgeous transformation? I won't compare myself with the great masters; I am fairly satisfied with myself because my skill level is limited after all - well, I can't ask for too much. Contentment brings happiness, haha
Thanks to the great master for the beautiful image; the details were so numerous it was hard to imagine. It took a week of painting to finish. That chubby little face melts my heart
Having read this far, I also have to give my husband some praise. Although, unlike other people's husbands, he can't make flower stands or buy succulents and plant them, when I was painting this pot, because I was eager to see the perfect result, I brought it home to paint, and then I saw that he could quietly tidy up the kitchen. That is progress! Also, he never objects to my buy, buy, buy! That is enough
The two little birds nearly drove me to a breakdown. Just bear with me and take a look
Now that I have beautiful pots, recently I happily went to hunt for a few succulent treasures. They match so well! I feel good about it. This is what true transformation means - perfect
A royal sword with barbs, has it mutated? It is about to become double-headed, hehe
Dancing Sunset
Christmas Echeveria
It looks so green it could drip oil
Old Grape Woody Stem
Finally found its owner: First Frost
This one is not often seen: Edamame
The everyone-loves-it Crayon, a summer-survival expert
Aeonium
Finally, a few family portraits
The night is already deep, and I just go by feeling, by feeling; everything follows feeling! I hope everyone continues to like my succulents and my pots. Don't forget to hit like. I will keep painting pots tomorrow
