The Medinilla plant has an elegant form, with flowers like palace lanterns, pink in color, and large, long dark green leaves. When in bloom, the petals resemble an inverted lotus, and the top of the flower stem and the petals are covered with small beads like pearls and gems, hence the name lotus lantern flower. The flower colors include light pink and pink. The flowering period is from February to August, and the flowers can last for more than a hundred days. It is the most luxurious and beautiful species among the flowers of the Melastomataceae family. It was introduced to China from the Netherlands around 2000, and after being launched on the Chinese market, it won the affection of the broad masses of the people.
