Strawberry leaves turning yellow: find the cause and treat it accordingly

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
There are many reasons strawberry leaves turn yellow: if it is because the difference between dry and wet is too great, water regularly; if the growing environment has large temperature changes, minimize those changes; if it is caused by too much fertilizer, reduce fertilizing appropriately; if it is due to pests and diseases, get rid of the pests promptly and use insecticide to better prevent them.

1. Water regularly

Cause: If you do not water the strawberry for a long time and then suddenly give it a large amount of water, it cannot adapt and the leaves turn yellow; when the difference between dry and wet is always too great, it seriously affects its growth.

Solution: Water regularly and in the right amount; do not let the difference between dry and wet get too large, and do not always wait until the soil is dry and cracked before watering.

2. Adjust the temperature

Cause: Many strawberries are transplanted from greenhouses, so if they are suddenly moved to a different growing environment, yellow leaves appear very easily.

Solution: The temperature of the growing environment must be similar; it is best not to have too much change. You can put it in a spot exposed to sunlight, which is very good for both yellow leaves and growth.

3. Fertilize in the right amount:

Cause: Generally, if sunlight and watering are both normal, yellow leaves may be caused by too much fertilizer.

Solution: Reduce the amount of fertilizer and fertilize in the right amount, or water with fermented rice-washing water, or evenly apply twenty granules of compound fertilizer each month.

4. Eliminate pests:

Cause: Once pests and diseases appear, yellow leaves, or even rotten leaves, will occur.

Solution: You can first get rid of the pests and use insecticide regularly and reasonably, so that you can better prevent and control the pests.
