Reasons and Solutions for Yellowing Leaves on Bleeding Heart Vine
1. Appropriate light:
Cause: If bleeding heart vine is placed in insufficient sunlight or exposed to scorching sun, signs of yellowing leaves will appear. In winter, because the light duration is short, it is also very easy to cause yellowing leaves.
Solution: In summer when the sunlight is abundant, you can shade it slightly and avoid direct strong light, while in winter you can place it in a spot with direct sunlight so it can fully receive the sunlight.
2. Appropriate watering:
Cause: The growing environment for bleeding heart vine should remain moist, but watering should not be excessive either. Too much water accumulation will cause yellowing leaves, while indoors is relatively dry, and if it is kept in a water-deficient state, the leaves will also turn yellow.
Solution: When the soil becomes dry, you can water appropriately, but there must be no water accumulation. When the weather is relatively dry, you can spray a little water on its leaves. The humidity in the air also helps its growth.
3. Increase the amount of fertilizer:
Cause: Too little fertilizer will cause bleeding heart vine to lack nutrients, is not conducive to its better growth, and will also cause the phenomenon of yellow leaves.
Solution: Because yellowing due to lack of fertilizer can be addressed by appropriately increasing fertilizer, after a period of time the leaves will turn green.
4. Strengthen ventilation:
Cause: If bleeding heart vine is placed in a closed room for a long time, yellow leaves are very likely to appear, because it cannot come into contact with fresh air.
Solution: You can place it in a spot with relatively good air circulation, or open the windows more, or simply place it on the balcony.
