I've long heard that the most beautiful thing about England is its small towns!

English gardens have always been a style I love. The house at Hole Park has weathered the years and is now old and worn

It's so beautiful~ A place you can admire for a lifetime~

Climbing roses scale the walls:

And wisteria too: when I saw that wisteria on the wall, I gasped... so beautiful

I always thought Boston ivy and Chinese trumpet creeper were the best plants for covering large walls, but it turns out yellow banksian rose and wisteria work just as well

Wisteria, clematis, rhododendrons... how many years do these flowers need to grow to look like that?

Actually, some of China's coastal cities are quite nice too, but big metropolises rarely have scenery like this!

The current owner of the old estate (the grey-haired old man on the far left of the photo) leads us along the path to his rhododendron valley:

Entering the small garden through a gate covered in clematis:

A fairyland on earth. My favorite is that little path by the pond, paired with those delicate buds about to bloom, so beautiful~~

So beautiful~ Living here would be so happy

The people living in there must be rich or noble, right? Maintaining the lawn, flowers and plants must cost a lot of money. People like us can only drool and wander through it in our dreams, haha

According to the old estate owner, the long green wall surrounding the estate takes a lot of time and manpower to trim neatly every year, but,

he says with pride, his home is the only estate in England that still continues the tradition of trimming the green wall by hand:

So truly elegant, with the distant tranquility of accumulated history. If I ever get the chance, I must go and see it

So beautiful, but to take care of such a big garden well, that takes a lot of money and a lot of effort. Not easy at all

How many servants would it take to care for this....

A lot of the flowers and plants just grow freely on their own~ not much shape to them~ but perhaps that's another kind of beauty~

So beautiful, so beautiful. I really want to see close-ups of every kind of flower.

This is the dream fairyland of so many people

So beautiful

This is what you call nobility, nobility of the soul.

As I looked, I kept stupidly sighing to myself: ah, just one word, beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!

Through the beauty shines tranquility, peace and composure. Truly a fairyland on earth

Only nobility could afford to live there~~ just tidying up the old flowers costs a lot of money~~ when will China have estates like this

Beauty made with care!~

Only in dreams......

So beautiful

The flowers, plants and trees in the estate are not only beautiful but also arranged in a charming, scattered order

So much heart and effort went into it

If only I could have a garden like this someday, but it can only be a dream. Both illusion and reality, magnificent, truly a fairyland-like place that makes people long for it~~
