The money tree (Pachira aquatica) is a classic foliage plant, with large, emerald-green leaves, and it also symbolizes bringing in wealth and treasure, which is why it is so popular. But during care, you may find its leaves turning yellow and looking lifeless, so what should you do? It is actually very simple: just pay attention to the following points, and your money tree will grow lush and full of branches and leaves.

Water

Many people cannot control themselves and water it frequently, which eventually causes the roots of the money tree to rot or even die outright. The money tree is relatively drought-tolerant, so you must wait until the soil is slightly dry before watering it again, and in winter you should appropriately reduce the frequency of watering. If you use tap water for watering, it is best to let it sit in the sun for two days before use.

Light

Many plant lovers keep their money tree in a shady place for a long time, which causes the leaves to turn yellow or even wither. Or they keep it in bright light for a long time and do not shade it at all in summer, which scorches the leaf surface. So the money tree should be kept on a south-facing balcony or in a bright environment, and in summer it needs appropriate shading.

Fertilizing

Many plant-loving friends rarely fertilize their money tree during care, which leads to slow growth. Or they fertilize too much, which burns the plant's roots and turns the leaves yellow. In fact, the money tree itself likes fertilizer. We can ferment soybean residue or fruit peel and then apply it as fertilizer to the money tree. In winter, appropriately reduce the frequency of fertilizing, otherwise it is easy to burn the roots.

The money tree is not cold-tolerant, so in winter you must take anti-freeze measures, otherwise the leaf surface is easily frostbitten. You also need to repot it before the money tree's growing season, so that it can grow better and better, and lush branches and leaves are only a matter of time.
