My husband went on a business trip, I heard strange noises in the middle of the night, I opened the door and was shaking with anger.

The most important things between a husband and wife are respect and trust. A couple who loses these two things will always remain two separate individuals, unable to merge into one family. Distrust of the other person will keep the quality of life for both very low, which in turn triggers many family conflicts and destroys the harmony of the family.

My husband grew up in a single-parent family from a young age. He and his younger brother were raised by their mother, so as the eldest sister-in-law of such a family, life is naturally a bit more tiring. My husband and I both have well-paying jobs. Seeing that we had a stable foundation in life, my husband discussed with me bringing his mother and younger brother from his hometown to live with us. At first I was very reluctant. I moved closer to the door and heard my brother-in-law and mother-in-law whispering. My brother-in-law said quite loudly, "Didn't my brother tell you the passbook is in the study? Why haven't you found it yet?" My mother-in-law whispered to my brother-in-law, "Stop looking. Your brother promised to buy you a house and he'll keep his word. If you wake your sister-in-law, you won't get a single cent." Hearing what the mother and son said, I was instantly shaking with anger. My mother-in-law had long ago brought up to my husband that the two of us should pay for a new house for my brother-in-law to get married. The family only had those savings, and with the child's expenses growing day by day, we simply had no ability to satisfy my mother-in-law and brother-in-law's demands, so I firmly refused.

I never expected that my husband would go behind my back and arrange everything with my mother-in-law, completely ignoring the actual situation of this family. Furious, I confronted them before my husband even returned. My brother-in-law is a bottomless pit.
