When people talk about bronchitis, they immediately think of inflammation, of it being caused by a cold, or by bacteria and viruses, and naturally they think of Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus, Nocardia, and so on. In fact, bronchitis can also be caused by physical factors, allergic reactions, and internal factors. In terms of symptoms, it actually has a lot in common with allergic asthma, but there is more or less inflammation present.

Bronchitis

Certain factors irritate the tracheal and bronchial mucosa to a degree, and can also easily trigger inflammation-like reactions such as chest tightness, difficulty breathing, and coughing, for example inhaling pesticide gas, fertilizer nitrogen gas, cold air, smoke, soot, as well as carbon dioxide, chlorine gas, and the like. These all fall under physical factors that irritate the respiratory mucosa and cause bronchial inflammation.

When it comes to allergic reactions, it is easy for people to understand bronchitis as bronchial allergy. In fact, there are some similarities here, such as pollen, dust, and fungal spores, but there are also the larvae of hookworms or roundworms, which move through the lungs, trachea, or bronchi; the bronchi become allergic to animal proteins, causing allergic inflammation of the trachea or bronchi, with mucosal edema, congestion, increased secretions, and shedding of ciliated cells, which can then further lead to bacterial infection.

Factors of bronchitis

Being prone to developing bronchitis depends on the essence of the body, that is, internal factors, which are also the key aspect. There is weak or reduced immune resistance, for example decreased regulatory capacity, poor regulation of cold air and damp air, and at the same time the bronchial mucosa easily loses its adhesiveness and cannot properly adhere to dust entering the respiratory tract, or there may be insufficient or excessive bronchial secretions, making it difficult for ciliary movement to function, and when clearance capacity is weak, inflammation is easily triggered.
