There are tricks to caring for azaleas; remember these 4 points and they will grow vigorously

Azalea, also known as yingshanhong, comes in many flower colors, such as red, purple, pink, yellow and so on, and no matter which color, it is very delicate and lovely. I believe that anyone who has never grown an azalea will want to take a pot home after just one look. So when growing azaleas, you need to know the tricks. If you cannot remember these tricks, you will not grow them well, and then there will be no flowers to see! So master these 4 points and they will grow vigorously
Choosing the indoor placement location
It needs to be placed at home in a well-ventilated spot with diffused light. Its demand for light is not especially strong, and it can grow well in a semi-shaded environment. Moreover, in such a spot, it is not easily exposed to direct sunlight, which allows it to grow lushly.
Choosing the flower pot and soil
For the flower pot, you need to choose an earthenware pot with good air permeability. It is recommended not to choose porcelain pots or plastic pots, as they are not good for its root growth. For the soil, choose loose, fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It will grow vigorously and bloom continuously in an acidic environment.
Tips on watering and fertilizing
As the temperature rises, gradually increase the frequency of watering, because it likes a humid environment. So in summer, water once in the morning or evening and spray water on the leaves; in spring and autumn, water once every 3 to 4 days; in winter, as the temperature gradually drops, just keep the potting soil moist.
During the bud stage, it is recommended to apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer once every 10 days, for 2 to 3 times in a row. This can make the flowers bright and large, increase the number of blooms, and extend the flowering period.
Prune at least 2 times
In spring, azaleas need one pruning. Keep 2/3 of the branches, and cut off all parts above 1/3, to encourage it to produce new shoots!
After the flowers fade, promptly cut off the spent flowers to avoid consuming too many nutrients, and this can also encourage a second bloom!
When caring for azaleas, master these 4 points well, and growing them well will not be difficult!
