What to Do When a Money Tree's Leaves Droop and Fall Off? Easy Fixes for Lush, Thriving Growth
The money tree has a graceful shape, lush branches and leaves, excellent ornamental value, and very auspicious symbolism. During care, you may encounter drooping and falling leaves on the money tree. Below are the solutions!
Money tree leaves drooping
(1). Overwatering
If you notice the money tree's leaves drooping and wilting, this condition is generally caused by too much watering.
Solution: First, loosen the soil of the money tree and place it in a well-ventilated spot so the moisture can evaporate faster, which helps it recover from the damage; otherwise, root rot will be a real problem.
(2). Too much shade
If the money tree does not receive light for a long time and stays in too much shade, its leaves will droop and look very listless.
Solution: Place the money tree on a south-facing balcony with plenty of light, and pay even more attention to light in winter.
Money tree leaves falling off
(1). Temperature too low
When the money tree is below 10°C, it is very likely to drop leaves, so temperature must be well controlled, especially in winter.
Solution: Put a plastic bag over the money tree and poke a few holes in it for ventilation.
(2). Root damage
If the money tree's roots are damaged, improper repotting may injure the roots, and leaf drop is unavoidable; once the money tree adjusts to its pot, it will return to normal.
Solution: Be careful with the roots when repotting, do not let the roots get damaged, and provide good care.
