Have you ever seen a peanut plant grown in a pot? Its leaves are emerald green and glossy, with a very fresh scent. If you grow a few pots at home, you not only get greenery, but in the future you can also harvest fresh, worry-free peanuts. Here is how to grow them at home

First, choose raw peanuts with plump shapes, remove the shells, and keep the large, plump peanut kernels.

Next, soak the peanuts in clean water overnight. The water level must cover the peanuts so they fully absorb water. If any peanuts float on the surface, pick them out and discard them.

Find a larger flower pot, and line the bottom with broken bricks and tiles, then a mix of pine needle soil and decomposed chicken manure. Then dig small holes one by one and plant the soaked peanuts into the small holes, 1 peanut per hole, about 3-5 per pot. After planting, cover them with soil, water thoroughly, and place in a spot with plenty of light and good ventilation.

After about 2-3 days, the peanuts will sprout. Remember to water whenever you notice the soil is dry. Also, sunlight must be abundant. Each month, water the peanuts with some fermented cake fertilizer or compound fertilizer water. This way the peanut seedlings grow fast and produce many flowers, and of course plenty of fruit.

After about 1 month or so, the peanuts will bloom with golden-yellow flowers. The flowering period lasts as long as 2 months, and each peanut plant can produce 200-1000 flowers. That is simply amazing.

After about 3 months, the flowers gradually fade, and the peanuts in the potting soil are already ripe. At this point we can harvest fresh peanuts. When you dig the peanut plants out of the pot and see the roots heavy with pods, the sense of accomplishment goes without saying.
