Golden pothos can be called the star plant of the home. Every friend who loves flowers surely has more than one pot of golden pothos at home. Golden pothos can be called the "guinea pig" on our flower-growing journey, with all kinds of cuttings and propagation filling one pot after another. Its green air-purifying ability is very strong, and when it is hung up to grow, the vines droop naturally, looking very elegant and beautiful.

Golden pothos is a very easy-to-grow green plant that can grow very well with almost no management, but if you want to grow golden pothos well, you still need to put in a little extra thought. If golden pothos is not grown well, it is prone to yellowing leaves and sparse foliage.

Once golden pothos develops yellowing and blackening leaves, it gives the impression of lacking nutrients, and the golden pothos loses its nutritional value. Actually, the rice-washing water and beer that are fermented at home can both be used to fertilize golden pothos. We can usually spray them onto the leaves of golden pothos, and they can also make the leaves glossy green and crisp and bright.

However, the method introduced to you today is not the two substances mentioned above, but what we often call cake fertilizer water. Golden pothos is a foliage plant, so nitrogen fertilizer is crucial for it, and beans are a very good source of nitrogen fertilizer.

1. Bean fertilizer

The relatively simple method is to directly soak soybeans overnight, then boil them in water. At this point the beans are relatively soft, and they can be used directly. We insert a few holes along the edge of the potting soil, take three or four boiled beans, put them into the holes, and then cover them back up. Just be careful not to place them too close to the plant roots. In this way, the beans can slowly provide nutrients to the plant in the potting soil, allowing the golden pothos to grow better.

2. Bean fertilizer water

Crush the boiled beans into small pieces, put them into a clean plastic bottle, add clean water until it is eight-tenths full, and then it can be placed in the sun to ferment. Add a few pieces of orange peel to remove the odor, and if conditions permit, add a little brown sugar, which can promote the fermentation process.

Generally, it can fully ferment in one or two months. At this point, take the clear liquid from the upper layer, dilute it with water, and then it can be used to water the golden pothos. This can make the leaves of the golden pothos become glossy and fill the pot.

Bean fertilizer water can not only be used to water golden pothos; it is a very good nitrogen fertilizer, so it is very suitable for use with all kinds of flowers, especially foliage plants, and can make the leaves very bright.
